What is Bible?
The Bible is a collection of books written by men, but with special help from the holy spirit, in such a way that the writers, when writing God's teaching, could not make mistakes .
The Bible is divided into two parts called the old Testament and the new testament. The old testament contains the history of the Jewish people and their religion up to the time of Christ. The new testament tells the story of the life of Christ, and gives the chief part of his Teaching.
Does that mean that the Bible came from the Catholic church?
Yes the Bible, as we know it, came from the Catholic church and all the writers of the new testament were members of the Catholic church.
Then the Catholic church existed before the Bible?
If you mean the new testament only, then the answer certainly is yes, because the Catholic church existed over 300years before the whole of the new testament was accepted as a part of the complete Bible.
Has the church more authority than the Bible?
Yes the Catholic church has more authority than the Bible, because Christ gave his church all authority to teach, the one safe way of finding truth is to listen to the church as Christ commanded ( see matt. XVIII,17)
